2014 SB 157 proposes to raise Maryland’s maximum highway speed to 70 mph

Published on 15 January, 2014 by Elizabeth

edwardsSB 157, sponsored by Senator Edwards, proposes to change the maximum speed allowed on Maryland highways from 65 m.p.h. to 70 m.p.h.

(2) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (1) of this subsection, a maximum speed limit of more than [65] 70 miles an hour may not be established on any highway in the State.

Please use the link below to let your voice be heard.  Many parties that benefit from a maximum speed of 65 m.p.h. will be heard - will you?  It only takes a minute to tell the committee how you feel about the bill.

Hearing 1/23 at 2:00 p.m.
